Our Guiding Philosophy
At Upasana, a Conscious Clothing Circle based in Auroville, our guiding philosophy is that of Discovering India through Textiles.
The process of bringing every cloth from source to store is as precious to us as our our vision of designing garments that are made using organic cotton, handloom textile, upcycled processes and artisanal techniques such as block printing, natural dying and healing fabrics. Mindfulness at every stage, ethical consumption and fair trade aid us with the process of translating our dreams into reality for a sustainable future.
Through conscious clothing circle, Upasana attempts to reach out to the deeper personality of the being. It is not only physically connected to the skin, but it focuses on how the user experiences the garment. It is with delight that Upasana practices the art of draping of the soul. We therefore, believe that conscious clothing is always a choice, is it not?
